Freeboard

Starting from the knowledge of the literature, the working group will study the different methods for estimating the freeboard. The focus will be on the case of wind-generated waves. The load situations will be identified and the sensitivity of the results as a function of the input parameters will be discussed. In addition, cases of concomitant actions will be considered and recommendations for application to dams in the Alpine context will be listed.
